Law Through the Ages.

The history of law can be traced back to ancient civilizations such as Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, and China. In these early societies, laws were often based on religious and moral codes, and were enforced by rulers or priests.

One of the earliest known written legal codes is the Code of Hammurabi, which was created in ancient Babylon around 1750 BCE. This code established a system of justice based on the principle of “an eye for an eye” and set out punishments for various crimes.
